Here at OTRAMM we get a lot of similar questions. Please review our FAQ below to see if your question is answered. If not, please email us at otramm@otramm.com. Thanks!
What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday thru Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Phone calls and emails received outside of our office hours will be responded to as soon as possible. We’re a small two person business, your patience is appreciated.
Will you use customer supplied parts?
Due to past issues with arriving to a customer’s location and finding that they have acquired either the incorrect parts or low quality parts we cannot accept customer supplied parts. We strive to perform the highest quality repair possible. A large part of that is made possible by only us sourcing the best quality parts.
What is a Diagnostic Check? What does it include and why is it required prior to an estimate being done?
Diagnostic testing is required to find the root cause of a problem. Checking codes is only the first step in solving vehicle issues. Diagnostic time is billed at a one hour minimum for the first hour, and in fifteen minute increments thereafter. Many times the issue can be determined within the first hour. If further testing is needed we will stop after the first hour, let you know our findings to that point and let you approve the diagnostic plan moving forward. We often get asked if diagnostic charges are subtracted from the final invoice. They are not. It takes time to find the vehicle problem and then additional time to remedy that problem. Occasionally partial disassembly is required in the testing process. If this overlaps with the repair procedure then that time is subtracted from the repair.
What is a Comprehensive Vehicle Inspection (CVI)/ What is a Pre-Purchase Inspection?
A comprehensive vehicle inspection and pre-purchase inspection are in-depth bumper to bumper reviews of all vehicle operations, the functionality of those operations and a tool used to identify any areas of concern. This inspection takes approximately 1.5 hours and can be done on any vehicle prior to purchase (newer used vehicles & older used vehicles), or older vehicles a customer plans to keep indefinitely. The information obtained will help Ryan see what items need to be addressed to keep a vehicle running smoothly and extend its life.
Do you provide same day service?
Under normal circumstances we plan our schedule and book appointments a week to two weeks in advance. However, as hurried as life is these days we understand it isn’t always possible to “plan” a car that won’t start. There are times when we are able to accommodate a customer needing same day service. OTRAMM strongly encourages all our customers to call ahead and make an appointment. This will help us provide you with the best service possible at all times.
Do you provide preventative maintenance?
We sure do! Performing preventative maintenance will extend the life of your vehicle by taking time to address any “minor” problems BEFORE they become major ones. Recommended maintenance like replacing brakes and tune-ups as well as any maintenance at mileage milestones (25,000, 50,000, 75,000) are examples of preventive items we take care of. We also perform a basic inspection of vehicle systems with each service. This helps us to catch small issues before they become larger more costly issues. If you are unsure of your vehicles maintenance needs send us an email with your vehicles year, make, model, and mileage and we can look up the required maintenance for you.
Can you do basic oil changes and tire rotations?
If a customer is already having service done on their car, yes we will. However, we do not make appointments to do just an oil change or tire rotation.
Do you accept Insurance or Warranty programs?
OTRAMM is happy to do a Diagnostic Check and provide an estimate for customer reimbursement by their Insurance or Warranty Company. We require direct payment from customers upon completion of repairs and do not file any insurance or warranty claim paperwork.
How long does it take to perform repairs?
While some repairs are simple fixes, there are others that can take a week or more to complete. Once we have ordered parts it can take from 1-4 days for them to arrive. OTRAMM prides itself in providing the best service possible and makes every effort to finish each job on the day of your appointment.
What payment methods do you accept?
Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Cash, Check or money order are all acceptable methods of payment.
